Gosh --- since October .... more covid everywhere, right now we are doing omicron and it is exhausting. The end of the semester was barely survivable, worse than last year.
Nietzsche is gone - December 14 - and it hurts like summabitch. His kidneys gave up and the last two days he did not eat or drink. Now there are no wet spots on Jim's underwear on the floor or the bath mat and no turds on the living room carpet. It is a great relief, but it is also a weird reminder of our loss.
Mom is in Naples and was supposed to be here today, flight got cancelled (Omicron) and she should arrive tomorrow. Last night we had dinner with Ben and Kerri and Kaitlyn and Cameron who has completed basic, medic, and airborne training and is now with the 82 airborne and a tall, strong, proud young man who answered all of our 90,000 questions patiently.
